PASSOVER (PESACH) 2012/5772
Tasting Freedom— A Workshop to Prepare for Passover with Estelle Frankel
Sunday Evening, April 1
7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Every Jewish holiday is celebrated through a unique set of rituals that engage specific sensory and motor capacities. On Pesach we "talk" and "taste" our way to freedom, through rituals that center on the mouth. Pesach is a time of divine grace, when we are gifted with the ability to to see ourselves from God’s perspective--from the vantage point of the infinite. This experience, known by the mystics as gadlut d’mochin (big mind) enables us to move beyond our limited, constricted ways of experiencing ourselves and the world and experience our true nature, which is boundless and free.
Through contemplative study, meditation, music, movement, and playful ritual, we will explore creative ways to enliven our seders and enlist the ancient biblical tale of liberation to midwife us on our own journeys of transformation. Read more about Estelle Frankel, workshop leader.
