Jen Roitman, Executive Director

Picture
Jen Roitman has been a long time member of the Chochmat community and joined our staff in December, 2011.  Jen became the Executive Director in April, 2012 when the Board unanimously decided that she was the perfect fit for our community.  Jen was a union and political organizer for many years.  She brings a wealth of practical and personal skills that will benefit Chochmat HaLev and a strong commitment to growing and deepening our community.  Jen is a long-time meditator, has sung in our High Holy Day chorus, and is a drumming student.  She looks forward to getting to know and work with the members (and future members) of Chochmat.  Jen can be reached at Jen@chochmat.org.

She came to the Bay Area to study liturgy at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley in 2007.  She loves to pray, to officiate at weddings, to sing, and to write.  She also participates annually in fundraisers hosted by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of her brother and in memory of her mother-in-law. You can read more about what she's up to these days by visiting her website: Life. Love. Liturgy.
